Study opportunities in Russia
These are the complete lists from both guides: each olympiad gets its own detailed page gradually — priority goes to whichever opens first. Always remember: every one of these opportunities is competitive and not guaranteed, and the final reference is each one's official website.
Organised by level below — some olympiads open for more than one level, so they appear in both lists.
32 have a complete detail page · 91 have a documented reference card · 6 are name-only until their data is complete.
The official path to seats funded by the Russian government. It may cover tuition + nominal dorm housing + a small monthly stipend, but it does NOT cover flights, living costs, insurance, or the medical exam. You apply through education-in-russia.com with a single account; the first screening is done by the Russian House or the embassy in your country, then universities review and decide. You pick 1 to 6 universities by priority. Competitive and not guaranteed — the final choice isn't in your hands. The preparatory year (Russian language) is usually included in the quota. The door typically opens in autumn (Sep/Oct) and closes around Dec/Jan, varying by country. Check the official site and your local Russian House details before applying.

Page available — see the detailsCulture and Art Olympiad by SPbSUITD أولمبياد «الثقافة والفنون» من СПбГУПТДApplications open 20 October 20261 day left until it opens20 October 2026Open to international studentsA school-students' olympiad run by Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (SPbSUITD) in drawing, design and art history. The 2026/27 season is announced with its official regulations, but registration has not opened yet: the registration page states that it will be available from 20 October 2026, the regulations set the registration close at 30 January 2027, and artwork upload runs until 31 January 2027. The olympiad has two stages: the qualifying stage is remote (20 October 2026 – 31 January 2027) and is done by uploading photographs of finished artworks (4–5 works per creative contest) plus an individual assignment in history of art and culture that must be completed and uploaded within 7 calendar days of being issued; the final stage is in person in the city of Saint Petersburg from 20 to 31 March 2027. It runs in two subject complexes: (1) academic drawing · painting · composition · history of art and culture — four creative contests, all compulsory at the final (maximum 400 points), and (2) technical drawing and decorative composition — a single contest in two parts (100 points). Participation is free at both stages, and the university funds the organisation except for the art materials and consumables participants use for their work. Who may enter: school students from year 5 upwards (age subgroups: 5–7 · 8–9 · 10 and above) and students of secondary vocational programmes in the arts. 🟢 International students are eligible to take part, and the 2026/27 regulations themselves (clause 3.2) expressly include among the eligible those studying these educational programmes abroad — so you can enter from your own country. The working language of the olympiad is Russian under clause 3.8, and no English track has been announced. Benefits per the official benefits page: winners and prize-winners receive the first-order right of "admission without entrance examinations" at SPbSUITD for the programmes matching the olympiad complex, and the diploma is valid for 4 years; and winners and prize-winners who are foreign citizens, stateless persons, or compatriots living abroad may be put forward for a Russian Government quota place on the matching programmes — and this is a route to apply, not a guaranteed seat: the official results page publishes a main list and a reserve list of foreign candidates. The olympiad is number 7 on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's school-students list for 2026/27. ⚠️ Neither the regulations nor any official page mentions funding for travel, accommodation, visa, insurance or meals for the in-person final — do not assume any of these is covered. ⚠️ The 2026/27 task formats (the final round's form and conditions, the daily timetable and the venues) have not been published yet — what is currently shown on the two subject pages is from the 2025/26 season, and the regulations oblige the organiser to publish the season's conditions before 1 October. Check the official site before applying.

Reference card — documented details ←Kazan Federal University Olympiads أوليمبيادات КФУ بين المناطقKazan Federal University (KFU) olympiads have a dedicated track for foreign citizens called "INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIADS OF KFU" — separate from the general track for students in Russia. The international track's 2026/27 dates have not been announced yet: its official page is still on the 2025/26 season, and the 2026/27 dates published on the general track's page belong to school students in Russia — they are not the international track's dates. How the international track ran last season (2025/26, for reference only): an online qualifier in December and a final in February, in person at partner venues (Kazan and Uralsk) and/or online. It was open to grade 10–11 students, and to final-year Bachelor's and Specialist students and graduates of foreign universities (for Master's). The benefit on the international track: according to the organiser's page, foreign winners and prize-winners apply to study at KFU within the Russian Government quota, and the olympiad is on the Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — not a guaranteed place. Admission without exams or 100 points is a general-track benefit tied to the EGE.
Reference card — documented details ←World Russian Language Championship بطولة العالم في اللغة الروسية للأجانبLast season closed 1 October 2026A world championship in the Russian language for foreigners: free, for young people aged 16–35 who are not Russian citizens (foreign citizens or stateless persons). ⚠️ You take part as a team: 3 participants + a mentor. The schedule from the official regulations (clause 1.5): registration from 1 July 2026 · the qualifying round (online) 27 July – 1 October 2026 · the in-person final 19–23 November 2026 in Moscow. There is a conditional path to the Government quota: the regulations (section 14) say the Ministry may use the championship to select foreign students within the quota — but only if it allocates places to the championship that year; the right goes individually to members of teams that win prize places in the final, and it is not a guaranteed admission. Check the official site and the regulations before applying.

International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Competitive and not guaranteed. Check the official site before applying.

The ten subjects: Russian, literature, physics, geography, history, chemistry, mathematics, publishing, biology and informatics. For international students: the 2026/27 schedule page asks, for in-person stages, for an identity document ("удостоверение личности – для иностранных граждан" for foreign citizens) and SNILS data with no written exception — if you have no SNILS, ask the organiser; the olympiad page lists the "Russian Government quota for foreign citizens" among its benefits, and the olympiad is on the Ministry of Science's 2026/27 foreign-student quota list (entry 13) — a competitive right to apply, not a guaranteed place. Russian admission benefits (admission without exams or 100 points), per the olympiad page, apply only to subjects on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list: Russian and literature at level II, physics, geography, history and chemistry at level III — and require the EGE or the university's exam at 75 or more; mathematics, publishing, biology and informatics are not on the list. From the olympiad's published regulations (2025) — the 2026/27 regulations are not on the site yet: participation is open to citizens of Russia, foreign citizens and stateless persons (§1.7), and the olympiad's language is Russian (§1.12).

Tasks are in Russian, and applications for direct entry to the final close on 18 December. For international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place. Under Russian admission rules only two profiles carry an RSOSH level — Natural Sciences and Engineering & Technology (on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list, order No. 521: Natural Sciences level II, Engineering & Technology level I) — and those benefits are tied to the EGE; the other profiles carry no RSOSH benefits.

Page available — see the detailsThe school-students' olympiad of Sechenov University (I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University) in biology and chemistry, run by its "Impulse" Institute of Specialised Education (Институт профильного обучения «Импульс»). The 2026/27 season: registration is open from 1 October 2026 at 00:01 to 29 October 2026 at 23:59 Moscow time on reg.sechenov.ru. The first (qualifying) stage is held remotely in the personal account (a 180-minute test): the stage itself runs 10 → 30 November 2026, marking 1–4 December, preliminary results 8 December, appeals 11 December, and final results for the qualifying stage 18 December 2026. 🏁 The final stage, per the 2026/27 regulations: in person on a single day between 1 February and 1 April 2027 at the University and regional venues — the exact day and the venue list will be published on the olympiad page. The 2026/27 regulations include "those studying these programmes abroad" and accept a foreign citizen's passport as the identity document, but final-stage registration asks for a SNILS number to be uploaded (the Russian insurance number) and the regulations do not say what a foreigner uses instead — so ask the organisers if you don't have one. In the most recent completed edition (2025/26) the qualifying stage was online (the official timetable heading itself says "online", and the university news calls it the "отборочный онлайн-этап") and the final was held in person at 17 venues inside Russia and 6 abroad (Kazakhstan · Kyrgyzstan · Tajikistan · Turkmenistan · Uzbekistan · Mongolia), gathering more than 1,500 school students. School years per that edition: biology 5–11, chemistry 8–11; no separate age limit is published. 🏛️ The olympiad is number 18 on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 school-students list — the list whose own title covers winners and prize-winners who apply for study within the Russian Government quota for foreign citizens and stateless persons. It was a tier-2 listed olympiad (перечневая олимпиада 2-го уровня) in biology and chemistry on the 2025/26 list (and on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list, order No. 521, it is level 2 in both subjects too). 🎯 The benefit at Sechenov itself, exactly: Appendix No. 5 to its 2026/27 admission rules lists the olympiad (entry 8) for biology and chemistry with the right to 100 points in the matching subject — conditional on at least 75 points in the ЕГЭ or the university's internal general entrance examination in that same subject, and on the winning result being obtained in year 10 or 11. ⚠️ The same document states that the University does not grant admission without entrance examinations on the basis of school-olympiad results — so the benefit must not be read as "admission without an exam". 🌍 And specifically for foreign students: Sechenov states officially that the olympiad organisers themselves submit the results of year-11 students from foreign countries to the "Интеробразование" system, and that thanks to this foreign citizens may receive a направление (referral) to study at one of the Russian universities from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education — a possibility, not a scholarship, a place, or a guaranteed quota. The olympiad's language is Russian under the 2026/27 regulations, and the registration form is filled in Russian. Check the official site before applying.
A broad-field olympiad. A remote qualifier on Moodle and an in-person final. It grants up to 10 bonus admission points at NEFU for all subjects, and some tracks (philology/indigenous languages) grant admission without exams or 100 points (provided EGE 75+) — subject to conditions. The strongest benefits are tied to NEFU and to the EGE, and the university is in Yakutsk (far away). International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Competitive and not guaranteed. Check the official site before applying.

The benefit is for the listed profiles only and tied to the EGE. The 2026/27 season is open: registration opened 7 September 2026 at 10:00 Moscow time. The olympiad has two stages, separately for each subject: the physics and mathematics qualifying stage is online (several rounds) and the final is in person — and to reach the final in a subject you must be a winner or prize-winner in one of that subject's qualifying rounds. 🔴 There is no single deadline: physics year 11 has three rounds (registration until 3 October · 24 October · 7 November), physics years 10 and 9 have two rounds (3 and 24 October), mathematics year 11 has three rounds (10 October · 31 October · 6 November), and mathematics years 10 and 9 have two rounds (10 and 31 October) — all Moscow time, and the official page calls the schedule preliminary and subject to change. The published 2026/27 final: physics 13 February and mathematics 14 February, with the site warning that dates may change; the 2026/27 final venues have not been published yet (what is shown now is the 2025/26 list). 🟢 International students are eligible to take part — confirmed by the official registration instructions, which include a document category for foreign nationals: a passport or another valid foreign identity document recognised as such by Russia, a diplomatic passport, or a Russian residence permit. Registration is required separately for each subject and involves uploading an identity document and a personal-data consent (signed by a parent or legal guardian for minors). The olympiad is number 21 on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's approved list for 2026/27, which lets winners and prize-winners apply for study within the Russian Government quota for foreign citizens and stateless persons — not a guaranteed place. In the РСОШ classification physics is level 1 and mathematics level 2. ⚠️ MIPT's own special admission rights (admission without entrance examinations, or 100 points counted for the subject) are governed by its 2026 admission rules, which restrict them to Russian citizens and to foreign citizens holding equal rights under international treaties or applicable law, and require an examination result in the subject at or above the set threshold — so they are not a general rule for every foreign applicant. Check the official site before applying.

The university's 2027 admission rules for foreign applicants have not been published yet. Admission without exams or 100 points in Social Studies works under Russian admission rules and depends on the olympiad's level on the RSOSH list and on the EGE — so it is not automatic for a foreign applicant, and on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list (order No. 521) the olympiad is level I in the Law profile. The registration form has a field for SNILS (the Russian insurance number); if you don't have one, ask the organisers.
Reference card — documented details ←Your Path to Real Science أوليمبياد «طريقك إلى العلم الحقيقي» (الفيزياء)A physics olympiad (grades 8–11). A two-format qualifier (in person at NSU + online) and an in-person final. It is not on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list (order No. 521), so admission to NSU without entrance exams for this edition's winners needs confirming with the university itself. ⚠️ Foreigners' eligibility and the quota mechanism are unconfirmed in the source; contact the NSU international office ([email protected]) before relying on it. Competitive and not guaranteed. Check the official site before applying.
Reference card — documented details ←All-Siberian Open Olympiad الأوليمبياد السيبيرية المفتوحة للمدارس (Всесибирская)The 2026/27 season has started, and registration opens subject by subject. An open olympiad from Novosibirsk State University (NSU / its SESC boarding school) for grades 7–11 in 5 subjects; its new regulations (31 August 2026) set no citizenship condition — they invite "all interested school students in grades 7–11". The olympiad is entirely in person — there is no online participation at any stage: both the qualifying stage and the final take place at approved venues in Russia and several Central Asian countries (such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan), and the 2026/27 venue list is published by 11 October — so a student from outside that region needs to travel for both stages. Qualifying stage (11:00 Novosibirsk time): Mathematics 18 October (registration 28 September – 16 October) · Biology 1 November (registration 12–30 October) · Informatics 8 November (19 October – 6 November) · Physics 15 November (26 October – 13 November) · Chemistry 22 November (26 October – 20 November) 2026. Final stage — preliminary dates: Mathematics 14 February · Informatics 21 February · Chemistry 28 February · Biology 7 March · Physics 14 March 2027; final-stage registration starts 1 February. You register separately for each subject and each stage at vsesib.nsu.ru; registration closes 48 hours before the stage, and seats at each venue are limited. Required: an identity document (passport) and a certificate of enrolment from your school; the Russian SNILS number is optional. Tasks are in Russian. The benefit for international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place. Winners and prize-winners who are citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan can also be admitted to NSU without exams, according to the university. Admission without exams or 100 points under Russian admission rules is tied to the EGE (75+), and the subjects' levels on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list (order No. 521) are: Informatics and Chemistry level I; Biology, Mathematics and Physics level II.

It grants admission benefits for architecture/art specializations per each university's rules — subject to conditions. The source mentions historic participation from 50 Russian regions and foreign countries, but International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Tasks are in Russian, and the final is in person with your passport — in 2025/26 all final venues were in Russian cities. Official note: Gmail addresses are not allowed at registration. For international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place. Under Russian admission rules, Geography and Foreign Language give admission without exams or 100 points provided the EGE is 75+ (level II on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list, order No. 521; the "Education and Pedagogy" profile is level III there).

Season 2026/27 — qualifier window under the regulations: online from 1 October 2026 to 20 February 2027 on the testing.olymp.ncfu.ru portal (its subject pages still show 2025/26 dates — old information; make sure your profile's test shows the 2026/27 dates before you start), and the final is in person in Stavropol, Pyatigorsk or Nevinnomyssk depending on the profile, on dates from 13 March to 10 April 2027. 🔴 And 20 February is not a "registration deadline" — it is the end of the qualifying round, and no separate registration window is published. The threshold to reach the final is 45% or more of the maximum qualifier score (rules of procedure §3.1). Winners are capped at 8% of final-round participants, and winners plus prize-winners together at 25%. ⚠️ International eligibility is unresolved on country scope: the regulations §1.5 limit participants from outside Russia to the "near abroad" (страны ближнего зарубежья), while the rules of procedure §2.1 say of the qualifier "the countries of the near and far abroad" and §3.3 provides for foreign citizens' identity documents with a notarised Russian translation — and Egypt and the Arab countries are the far abroad. ⇒ Ask the organiser for written confirmation ([email protected]) before building a plan. The olympiad is entry 31 on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for school students, which lets winners and prize-winners apply for study within the Russian Government quota for foreign citizens and stateless persons — not a guaranteed place and not funding. 🔴 And the regulations contain no admission benefit at all: the prize provided for winners (§8.5) is diplomas, certificates and gifts — not one word about admission without entrance examinations, 100 ЕГЭ points, or extra points; on the contrary, §1.10 says the organising committee submits an application for the olympiad to be included in the Ministry's "Перечень олимпиад школьников" — and the final 2026/27 list (order No. 521) was published without it. Participation is voluntary and free. Documents for the final: an identity document (original + copy) · a school certificate (original) · parental consent for minors · СНИЛС · stationery. Check the official site before applying.

The 2026/27 season has not been announced yet: the website is still on the 2025/26 edition (last season the information came out in mid-November). The regulations open participation "regardless of place of study or residence", and the winning criteria may differ "for students from different countries". The format: a long online qualifier, then an in-person final in Moscow or at regional venues for those above the points threshold; remote proctored participation is allowed only if a valid reason prevents you from travelling, with the organisers' approval. The language is Russian. Participants from outside Moscow who sit the final there get free accommodation and meals, and the final is usually in March. For international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place. It was on the 2025/26 RSOSH list at level 1 in Informatics (and level I in Informatics on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list, order No. 521, too), and admission without exams under Russian rules is tied to the EGE.

Under last season's regulations (2025/26): participation is open to "those studying these programmes abroad", the olympiad's languages are Russian and English, the qualifier is held remotely, and the final was in person in St Petersburg and at regional venues, with a remote option. For reference only: the 2025/26 season's registration and qualifier ran 1 November 2025 – 18 January 2026 and the final was on 2 March 2026 — that is not the 2026/27 schedule. The benefit: it is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place; but it is not on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list (order No. 521), so it gives no admission without exams or 100 points under Russian rules. At Pavlov itself the diploma adds bonus points (+4 for prize-winners and +8 for winners) per the admission rules. Useful if you are aiming for medicine or pharmacy.

Participation is open to "those studying these programmes abroad", and tasks are in Russian. How last season ran (2025/26, for reference): two online qualifying rounds on All Cups (either one is enough), then a third in-person qualifying round at 25+ venues, and an in-person final at MIPT and Bauman University in Moscow — travel at the participant's expense, accommodation and meals covered by the organisers; the documents for the final included SNILS and a Russian medical insurance policy (if you don't have them, ask [email protected]). Rounds are usually in November–December and the final in March. For international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place. Benefits for foreign applicants at each university are set by its admission rules for foreign citizens. Admission without exams or 100 points in Informatics is tied to the EGE (the olympiad is level I in Informatics on the final 2026/27 RSOSH list, order No. 521 — it was level 2 in 2025/26), and regardless of citizenship there are prizes and VK Education perks.

The olympiad's regulations expressly include "foreign citizens" among participants ("…лица, осваивающие указанные образовательные программы за рубежом и иностранные граждане"), and SNILS is required from Russian citizens only. The qualifier has several formats, and your best result counts: the distance round, 17 November – 21 December 2026 (online from anywhere, 3 hours, one attempt, in your personal account at org.mephi.ru) — the best fit for a student outside Russia; in-person rounds in the regions and at MEPhI branches in November 2026 (venues not published yet); and the in-person Physics round in Moscow took place on 27 September 2026. Qualifier results and the list of finalists come by 31 January 2027. The final is in February 2027 (the regulations allow 1 February – 31 March), in person at venues you choose in your personal account — the 2026/27 venues have not been announced yet. Tasks are in Russian, and travel and accommodation are at your own cost. MEPhI's website carries a general notice asking for a "Russian passport" to attend university events — that is an entry notice for the MEPhI campus, not an eligibility rule of the olympiad (the regulations check identity "by passport" without specifying its citizenship); if you plan to sit at the Moscow campus, ask [email protected] first. Winners and prize-winners are capped at 45% of qualifier participants and 25% of final participants. Reference card — documented details ←An international olympiad in Russian as a foreign language from Lobachevsky University (ННГУ) in Nizhny Novgorod — and the lowest entry barrier of any opportunity on our list. 🟢 The regulation (clause 3.1) explicitly accepts people teaching themselves Russian, as well as students of RFL courses outside Russia, senior pupils at foreign schools, preparatory-faculty students, and university students — so you do not have to be enrolled anywhere. 🎯 And you compete only within your own level: six categories, A1 · A2 · B1 · B2 · C1 · C2 (clause 1.7). 📹 The entry task is a video of up to 5 minutes (not an exam) on one of three topics, emailed to [email protected] before 1 March (clause 6.2). Then a video interview on 13 March and an improvisation round on 20 March. 💚 Completely free (1.6), fully remote (1.4), from age 14 (3.3). 👥 It is for those learning Russian as a foreign language — the regulation (3.4) does not accept citizens of countries where Russian is an official language. ⚠️ And the benefit the regulation actually states: a participation certificate for everyone and diplomas for winners and prize-winners (8.1 · 8.2) — no mention of admission or of the quota. The regulation does mention "attracting talented graduates to study in Russia", but that is stated as the university's aim, not as a promise to you.

Page available — see the details Culture and Art Olympiad by SPbSUITD أولمبياد «الثقافة والفنون» من СПбГУПТДApplications open 20 October 20261 day left until it opens20 October 2026Open to international studentsA school-students' olympiad run by Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (SPbSUITD) in drawing, design and art history.
Page available — see the details World Russian Language Championship بطولة العالم في اللغة الروسية للأجانبLast season closed 1 October 2026A world championship in the Russian language for foreigners: free, for young people aged 16–35 who are not Russian citizens (foreign citizens or stateless persons).

The qualifier runs in your personal account: 60 minutes and one attempt per profile, and you may choose one or more of the profiles open to your year. The olympiad is on the Ministry of Science's approved list for 2026/27 (the school students' list), which lets winners and prize-winners apply for the government quota — not a guaranteed place. UrFU's own admission benefits depend on the profile, the school year, the chosen programme and the admission rules, and the official page states that information about each profile's inclusion in the list of olympiads will appear later. There is also a UrFU scholarship of 20,000 ₽ a month — only for winners and prize-winners who enrol at UrFU via the preferential (БВИ) route, not for every participant. The olympiad is conducted in Russian. Check the official site before applying.

Page available — see the details Phystech Olympiad by MIPT أولمبياد «Физтех» من MIPTOpen · closes 7 November 202619 days left until it closes7 November 2026Open to international studentsThe school-students' olympiad of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (МФТИ / MIPT) in physics and mathematics for school years 9–11.

An online qualifier and an in-person final at RSUH. It grants admission benefits and 3 points as an individual achievement for Bachelor's/specialist programs (provided EGE 75+ in the matching subject), and final-year students scoring 20+ points in the final get 3 points — subject to conditions. International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Competitive and not guaranteed. Registration is usually Dec–Jan with the final in spring. Check the official site before applying.

Reference card — documented details ← Plekhanov School Olympiad أوليمبياد بليخانوف للمدارسAn olympiad with nine profiles, three of them on the Ministry of Science's list (economics, Russian language, foreign language). A remote qualifier and an in-person final. Winners and place-holders in the listed profiles may enter Plekhanov without exams or 100 points in the subject — subject to conditions. The benefit is for the listed profiles only and tied to the EGE. International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Competitive and not guaranteed. Usually Nov–Jan with the final in March. Check the official site before applying.

Registration runs 1 October 2026 – 11 January 2027 (23:59 Moscow time) on the university's e-testing system; registration details are entered in Russian, and the school certificate must be issued on or after 1 September 2026. Online qualifier: 16 January 2027 for grades 8–10, and 17 January for grade 11 and SPO students. The final is in person (answers typed on a computer, two hours): 27 February 2027 for grades 8–10 and 28 February for grade 11 and SPO — in Moscow or at the university's branches in Vologda, Kirov and Orenburg, with your passport; final-stage registration runs 1–20 February. Tasks are in Russian. For international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place.

Competitive and not guaranteed. Check the official site before applying.
Reference card — documented details ← All-Siberian Open Olympiad الأوليمبياد السيبيرية المفتوحة للمدارس (Всесибирская)The 2026/27 season has started, and registration opens subject by subject.

For international students: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — winning lets you apply for the quota, it is not a guaranteed place.

That page says nothing about foreign citizens — neither for nor against. ⇒ Check the admission rules yourself and ask the university outright: is this olympiad among those categories, and is the waiver open to non-Russian citizens?
