North-Eastern Olympiad for School Students (SVOSH)

International students eligible — official list

A broad-field olympiad. A remote qualifier on Moodle and an in-person final. It grants up to 10 bonus admission points at NEFU for all subjects, and some tracks (philology/indigenous languages) grant admission without exams or 100 points (provided EGE 75+) — subject to conditions. The strongest benefits are tied to NEFU and to the EGE, and the university is in Yakutsk (far away). International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Competitive and not guaranteed. Check the official site before applying.
