Televised Humanities Olympiad "Clever Girls and Clever Boys" (Umnitsy i Umniki)

International students eligible — official list

A televised humanities olympiad (history and world culture): a regional stage + on-air competitions in Channel One's studio. Winners may get a special admission path at MGIMO per the program's and university's rules, and as an olympiad on the Ministry of Science's list it has benefits per the rules — subject to conditions. A unique format (not an ordinary online test) requiring excellent Russian and the ability to appear on camera. International students are eligible according to the official list: the olympiad is on the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 list for the foreign-student quota — the admission benefits themselves vary by programme and admission rules. Competitive and not guaranteed. Check the official site before applying.
