  Foreigners are admitted to the preparatory department throughout the calendar year as groups form and depending on Russian level, without entrance exams; secondary general, vocational or higher education is required, with an online application and documents submitted in person or by email.

  In 2025 the university held the multi-subject international school olympiad 'MOST' in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and the 'My Career' olympiad for master's applicants.

  Government-quota students of the preparatory department are given a dormitory place; contract students may be housed if places are available.

Practical information

  Foreign students must come to the International Cooperation Department (office 0116) no later than the next working day after crossing the Russian border for migration registration; dormitory residents receive registration for the whole study period.

  Foreign students who entered Russia after 29.12.2021 must complete the medical examination and fingerprinting within 90 days of entry; all foreigners must have health insurance, and the university contracts insurers every year.
