Admission for international students

  The application deadline for the English-taught International Master's programmes for Fall 2026 is 6 August 2026; after uploading documents, applicants have an online interview, and the decision is sent within 5 working days.

  After a successful interview the admitted student signs a study contract and pays at least one semester; the university then applies for the visa invitation, issued within 30 working days and valid for 90 days.

Scholarships and opportunities

• Open Doors Olympiad winnersfor international students

  Winners of the Open Doors Bachelor's, Master's and PhD tracks study the chosen programme (English or Russian) without tuition fees; those choosing a Russian-taught programme also get a free year of Russian training. Living costs are not part of this: the page says winners may be considered for separate Russian Government grant support (travel, monthly allowance, health insurance, accommodation reimbursement).

Student housing

• The dormitories offer high-speed internet, computer and reading rooms, laundries and a sports complex with a swimming pool.

Student life and services

• The university created the International Friendship Club to help foreign students adapt to life in Russia, make friends, improve their language and prepare for exams; there is also a Student Council and sports and arts activities.

• All MISIS academic and residential buildings have medical centres (including dental care).

Practical information

• for international students

  International students must have health insurance for the whole study period; MISIS helps arrange it with a Russian insurer, but a home-country policy is still needed for at least the first 14 working days after entry.

  Within one to three business days of arriving in Russia, students must visit the Student Office (Leninsky Prospekt 6, Building 1, room G-207) with their passport, copies and notarised translation, migration card, original academic documents and 4 photos.
