Admission for international students

  Required documents: copy of passport (valid for more than 18 months), copies of previous education certificates with transcript, notarized Russian translations, a document certifying English proficiency for English-taught programs, and 6 photos 3x4.

  Application steps: choose a program, send scanned documents, register in the admission system priem.etu.ru, and take an entrance exam (master's students only). International students can be enrolled in tuition-free or fee-paying places based on entrance examinations or special competitions.

  To get a scholarship for the Preparatory Department, the page directs applicants to their local Rossotrudnichestvo office; an individual study contract is arranged by contacting the university.

Student life and services

• The International Students Office handles enrolment of foreign students in foundation courses and degree programs, Russian visas and registration, and academic assistance. It is in building 3 (5 Professora Popova St.).

Practical information

• All international visitors must get a migration card and migration registration; students must visit ETU LETI on the day of arrival (or the first working day) to register. The invitation entitles to a 90-day entry visa, extended after arrival.

• Students need medical certificates translated into Russian (HIV test, X-ray, general health) and a health insurance policy for international students covering St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, obtainable at the university.
